Seven Steps to Successful Log Home Planning

Every successful project starts with a great plan that is put into action. Country Creek Log Homes, your Timberhaven Log and Timber Home representative, is here to help you develop the perfect plan of action for your custom built log home. Here are seven basic steps to help you along your journey.

1. You'll want the perfect home plan to complement your piece of property. We encourage you to create your custom home plan by utilizing one of the basic design ideas on Timberhaven Log and Timber Home's website or finding any house plan that is similar to what you are looking to build. We also invite you to our Log Home Subdivision and Model to view several different existing homes and to tour our model to get a realistic idea of what can be accomplished to help make your own unique design a reality.
2. Call us to arrange a personalized home tour and to meet with a design professional to begin planning your new home. Working together, you'll decide how much home you can afford to build, plus financing, construction, package options and more. Once we have completed your log home design with any needed revisions, and you are settled with the final design, we will submit a request for a free detailed price estimate to Timberhaven. At this point you may also consider attending one of Timberhaven's Construction Workshops.
3. It's time to meet with the financial professional of your choice to formally qualify you for the purchase of your log home package.
4. About a week after submitting the Estimate request to Timberhaven, we will meet again to review the estimate and finalize any necessary plan modifications Timberhaven has suggested. Now you can submit a loan application to your financial institution.
5. Your dream home's preliminary plans will be ready to review within four weeks. After any modifications are finalized, you'll sign off on the preliminary plans and place a 20 percent deposit to Timberhaven so that the official construction blueprints can be completed.
6. It's time to select a date for your home package to be delivered. Please allow up to eight weeks from the time your deposit is received. The closing date of your financing needs to be scheduled at least two weeks prior to delivery
7. Lastly, site preparation can be started while Timberhaven Log and Timber Homes precuts your new log home package. Final payment is due upon delivery.
